Inspired by the year-long, analog data drawing project by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, I embarked on a data journal. Every week, I had a new material and subject. Here is the catch: I could not use pen, paper, or any digital programs to present my data. As a result, I experimented with ten unique data visualizations.

reflections

Trying out my own "Dear Data" reminds me to let the core purpose of the information shape the product. As I continue to translate complex legacy systems into trustworthy service insights and still, I learn that every great project starts with stakeholders, a pen and paper. Or, on this case, an apple.
